Job Description
Shift: Mid Shift
The Claims Analyst is responsible for assisting the onshore claims team with claims administrative duties. The candidate will be responsible for Static claims, Incompletes, Diaries, and some Data Input into the Company’s systems in accordance with the policies and procedures of Arch Re. The candidate will provide support and be part of the Arch Re Claims team. There’s potential for the opportunity to progress towards more complex support/treaty processing.
- Run static claims report and communicate with brokers for updates.
- Updating and/or potentially closing static claims.
- Purging claims which fall within the purge criteria.
- Taking responsibility for diary management for the Syndicate.
- Monitoring ECF Incomplete entries, with a view to reducing amount and improving KPIs.
- Liaising with onshore team in respect of Incomplete entries.
- Inputting Additional Case Reserves into the company systems.
- Uploading emails into company systems.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with relevant insurance/reinsurance claims for Mid to Senior Level.
- Ability to analyze reports, interpret reinsurance contract language.
- Ability to analyze coverage under insurance and reinsurance contract.
- Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels and in all areas of the organization, as well as with outside contacts.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
- Fluent in Excel, Word and other business computer programs.
