General Definition of Work:
Performs intermediate administrative support work performing accounting duties for Friend of the Court, and related
work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the assigned personnel.


Essential Functions:
• Performs general accounting and bookkeeping tasks such as manual posting and balancing, entering data, processing

billings, reconciling accounts, and processing purchase orders and payment claims.

  • Maintains cash drawer, accepts payments, maintains documentation, and deposits receipts and partial payments or
verifies them.
  • Performs general office tasks such as answering phones and emails; assisting customers; processing mail; faxing;
updating, maintaining and creating new files; and ordering supplies.
  • Maintains documentation of all activities, compiles data, prepares financial and other reports, checks balances,
reconciles inconsistencies, inputs invoices, and maintains vendor files.
  • Processes income withholding, Tax intercept refunds, State and County refunds, etc. Analyzes court orders and
adjusts accounts accordingly (marriages, divorces, removal of children). Coordinates account requests from FOC
Attorneys and Caseworkers.


Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: Moderate (1+ years) experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
