Role Responsibilities
1) Revenue/Costs Management Accounting
- Process month- end revenue and cost-associated journals to facilitate smooth month end close
- Ensure monthly revenue and Accounts Receivable reconciliation from General Ledger to source systems
- Prepare Prepayment Accounting, Cost Accrual and cost allocation to front offices
- General Ledger: Prepare and post journals, complete accounting schedules and Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Active involvement with year-end and month-end closing activities
2) Management Reporting/Forecast, Planning & Analysis
- Prepare daily brokerage reporting to CEO, MDs and Desk Heads, and monthly/quarterly brokers' performance reporting, and Management Reports
- Analyse monthly Profit & Loss performance and comment on variances
- Assist in the quarterly forecast and annual budget process
3) Statutory Accounting/Corporate Tax Filing
- Prepare yearly statutory accounts for the Business Entities in charge
- Prepare year-end audit disclosure notes for the Business Entities in charge
- Liaise with the auditors and attend to their queries
- Liaise with Tax Agent to provide requisite data for Corporate Tax Filing purpose
4) Accounts Receivable Collections for Specific Portfolio
- Assist in Credit Control and Collections of Aged Debts for Specific Portfolio, including application of cash receipt and contacting clients on outstanding trade receivables and following up on queries from customers
5) Payroll
- Review and validate payroll schedules from external payroll service provider
- Perform reconciliation and prepare payroll journals
- Perform bonus calculations and accruals
6) Broker Compensation
- Month End Manual Journals (Bonus accruals)
- Brokers Bonus queries (LE Reviews)
- Share based payments / GEP
- Coordinate on the ICPs and Benefits boking
- Desk Allocation and Payouts Calculations
Experience / Competences
Essential
- Experience in handling full sets of accounts
- Possesses good initiative and independent working attitude, meticulous
- Good team player
- Flexible and adaptable to a fast changing environment
- Effective communication skills, with good interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft applications software Excel
- Strong appreciation of data reconciliations Strong mindset of controls
- Good knowledge of Corporate and Goods & Services Tax will be bonus point
- Experience with Oracle will be a plus point
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
