Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate will be responsible for a combination of accounting duties and inventory management. This role involves ensuring accurate financial record-keeping as well as performing regular inventory checks across our retail branches to maintain stock accuracy and ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

(1) Accounting Duties

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Manage invoicing, payments, and collections
• Perform general ledger entries and month-end closing procedures
• Ensure timely filing and compliance with tax regulations
• Handle petty cash and manage expense reports
• Support the finance team with ad hoc accounting tasks and special projects

(2) Inventory Management

• Conduct regular physical inventory checks at company branches to ensure stock levels are accurate
• Compare actual inventory counts with records and identify discrepancies
• Assist in the ordering and restocking process based on inventory reports
• Maintain inventory logs and track products sold or transferred between locations
• Monitor product expiration dates and ensure timely stock rotation
• Coordinate with store managers and branch staff to resolve any inventory-related issues
• Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and company policies

(3) Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting and/or inventory management (fresh graduates are also welcome to apply)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and tax regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
• Experience with inventory management software is a plus
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle discrepancies and challenges in inventory management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with various teams
• Willingness to travel to different branches for inventory checking

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php22,000.00 per month
