Accounting Manager

Lao ASEAN Leasing Public Company, Ltd is the leading leasing company in Laos, offering financing solutions for automobiles and heavy equipment for both corporate and individual clients.

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for an international organization operating in Laos. The role will oversee all accounting and financial operations, ensure compliance with Lao statutory requirements and international accounting standards, and act as a key finance partner to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and manage end-to-end accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets.

· Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and local statutory requirements.

· Ensure full compliance with Lao tax laws, including VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding tax.

· Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and government authorities in Laos.

· Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.

· Monitor cash flow, treasury activities, and cost control.

· Establish and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and best practices.

· Support group reporting and consolidation requirements.

· Supervise and mentor local accounting staff and build team capabilities.

· Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Professional qualifications such as CA / ACCA / CPA / CIMA (fully or partly qualified).

· Minimum of 5* years* of accounting experience, with managerial-level experience.

· Strong working knowledge of IFRS and international accounting practices.

· Experience working in international or multinational organizations.

· Ability to manage local statutory requirements in a foreign country.

· Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced MS Excel.

· Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred / Added Advantages

· Prior work experience in Southeast Asia or emerging markets.

· Knowledge of Lao accounting and tax regulations (or willingness to learn quickly).

· Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).

· Ability to work cross-culturally and train local teams.
