Accounting Technician

We are looking for an Account Technician to join our Lloydminster Finance Team. This role will be responsible for:

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Perform account analysis and reconciliations
  • Assist with government reporting and compliance
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Assist with budget preparation and business case analysis
  • Meet and maintain customer relations
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field an asset
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage)

This position works Monday to Friday, scheduled. Schedule amendments or work outside of regular hours may be required to satisfy business need. Providing support to internal and external clients is an essential component; work from home and/or hybrid work arrangements do not satisfy the essential duties of this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
