Accounting Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking an Accounting Technician who is detail‑oriented, data‑driven, and eager to support a dynamic manufacturing and technology environment. This role ensures accuracy of financial records, supports ERP processes, and collaborates with multiple departments including R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, and Sales.

'Responsibilities'

• Prompt and accurate entry of accounts receivable and issuance of customer invoices
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Verify customer inquires and ensure accurate documentation
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding accounts
• Enter data accurately into various accounting systems.
• Credit card, expense report entries and reconciliations
• Inter-company transactions
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist with inventory reconciliations and cycle counts
• Prepare GST and other regulatory filings
• Collaborate with team members to improve financial workflows.
• Provide reporting and analysis support to the Controller
• Participate in the transition from NAV to Odoo

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Accounting or similar
• 1 - 3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience entering AP, AR, GL transactions in an ERP (Odoo preferred)
• Excellent data entry and reconciliation skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Technology-savvy with strong Excel skills
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Experience in a manufacturing accounting environment
• Experience working through an ERP implementation
• Odoo experience highly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
