Job Summary:
Reporting to the Controller, this position assists with maintaining financial records and preparing financial reports to support Kenmac Energy. This role includes helping with data entry, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and supporting inventory control and compliance activities. The position requires attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow within the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
- Support budgeting activities and assist in preparing financial reports.
- Contribute to compliance-related activities and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Assist with data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with team members, including the Comptroller and CFO, to improve financial processes and procedures.
- Prepare and process invoices and payments.
- Monitor and reconcile expense reports.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.
- Generate financial reports and summaries for management review.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the finance department.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office and computer systems.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Diploma or associate degree, Accounting, Business Administration
- Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
