Processes documentation pertaining to accounts receivable for an assigned department; receives payments for various fees/services; records cash receipts; makes files copies; balances receipts; prepares deposits; post payments and adjustments to accounts; reconciles bank accounts; research checks received without identifying information or checks returned for insufficient funds; and prepares related reports and records. Performs related duties as assigned; maintains department petty cash funds; retains and purges financial documents according to records retention regulations; scans documents; and gathers and submits financial documentation to auditors. High school diploma or GED required, with some vocational or technical training in accounting or finance; supplemented by two years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts receivable or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must have a valid South Carolina Driver's License.
