Job Description: Accounts & Office Administrator – Sligo Leitrim Energy Agency Local Energy Agencies in the North & West
The Local Energy Agencies (LEAs) were founded to support homeowners, communities and small businesses to implement retrofit energy upgrades in our region.
The ATU with partners Donegal, Leitrim & Sligo County Councils, Údarás Na Gaeltachta and Aran Islands Energy Cooperative have secured EU LIFE funding to implement a workplan for home retrofitting to make our homes warmer, cheaper to heat and more valuable
This is an exceptional opportunity to join the LEAP project team as an Accounts & Office Administrator with the Sligo Leitrim Energy Agency.
About the role
The Accounts & Office Administrator will be a key member of the Local Energy Agency team supporting both the internal team administration, accounting system and related communications with clients and suppliers. The Accounts & Office Administrator will also collaborate and share tasks with the other Local Energy Agencies.

Roles and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
o Accounts administration, including payroll, accounts payable/ receivable, processing expenses, effective budget and cash flow management
o Managing company accounts using SAGE Accounting software & online banking system
o Liaison with the company accountant on accounts management, reconciliation and year end processes.
o Managing project files, office procurement and databases
o Preparation of documents for internal reporting, suppliers and clients while ensuring accuracy and integrity of information
o Acting as first point of contact for client enquiries, handling enquiries and coordinating and assigning as appropriate
o Working with the Energy Agency Team to develop and maintain internal procedures
o Contribute and assist with the implementation of new processes/ systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
o Working with the Energy Agency Team to compile project reports in a timely and efficient manner.
o Ad hoc administrative duties as may be required by the Business
Essential candidate requirements:
· Minimum 3 year of (i.e. Accounts) demonstrable relevant experience
· NFQ Level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline
· Competent in use of Accounting software e.g. SAGE or similar
· ECDL or equivalent
· Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, Sharepoint etc.)
· Demonstrable ability to work in a dynamic team
· Ability to manage own workload and plan, organise and implement tasks with minimal supervision
· Excellent organisational, analytical and time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines
· Excellent numeracy skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
· Proven ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment where flexibility and reliability are essential
· Independent and professional, with a calm and composed approach
Beneficial candidate skills & experience:
· Communications
· Financial admin experience
· Certificate or Diploma in Office/Finance/Accounts administration
· Knowledge and or experience of building or energy retrofitting project administration
· Experience in procurement and cashflow forecasting
· Experience of EU funded projects
· Knowledge of Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT)

Job Title:

Location:
The Energy Agency team will be required to work in the office location(s) of the Agency. The Agency office locations at this time is:
o ATU Sligo, Innovation Centre, Room G1004, F91 WFW9
The position will be delivered primarily from the Agency office, with some flexibility for remote working. The role may require some out of office travel within the target region to engage with clients and stakeholders.
Reports to:
Energy Agency Manager
Type of contract:
1-year fixed term contract, linked to the EU funding for LEAP. 1- year Contract extension will be dependent on commercial viability of the Energy Agency.
Salary:
€35,000- €40,000 per annum
