Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper

Are you an organized and adaptable professional looking to contribute your skills to a meaningful cause? We are a small not-for-profit organization working closely with woodlot owners to promote sustainable forest management and stewardship. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support our team.

Key Responsibilities:

● Schedule and coordinate meetings

● Prepare meeting agendas and take minutes (as required)

● Provide basic bookkeeping

● Manage follow-ups on emails and phone calls

● Maintain organized administrative records and digital files

● Follow up on potential new memberships and past due memberships

● Optional: Assist with social media content and engagement

● Other tasks as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

● Strong organizational and time management skills

● Experience with administrative tasks and bookkeeping

● Excellent written and verbal communication, both official languages would be an asset

● Previous work dealing with various levels of government would be an asset

● Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

● Adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of a small team, able to multitask

● Familiarity with digital tools such as email platforms, spreadsheets, and video conferencing

● Interest in forestry or non-profit work is a plus

● Criminal record check required

● Hybrid work model (combination of remote work and in-person as needed)

● Small, dedicated staff team

● Supportive and flexible work culture

● Own computer and phone required for hybrid work (compensation available)

This is a contract position until March 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension based on funding and organizational needs.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 22.5 per week
