The Dispute Resolution Office, Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, is looking for a highly organized, motivated, energetic and service-oriented individual as the Administrative Coordinator in the Saskatoon Office. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the King’s Bench Civil Mediation Program, Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission Mediations, and Conflict Resolution Training. The successful candidate will serve as an administrative liaison between/among The Dispute Resolution Office management and mediators, the legal community, the general public and the Court of King’s Bench staff.
Additional duties include providing confidential administrative support; explaining the mediation process; preparing correspondence; entering program information onto a database; file processing and records management; and receiving clients and responding to telephone and walk-in inquiries relating to the services and programs provided by the office.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through training in office administration, combined with several years of administrative support experience. You will also require strong organizational skills and the ability to take initiative with little or no supervision. You will interact professionally and respectfully with individuals who may be angry, resistant, confused or rude.
