After School Animation Instructor (Oakland, Ca)

Learn2Code.Live (DBA Whizara) offers student-centered, highly engaging and interactive in-person animation classes for K-12 students.

Job Responsibilities

• Create a safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Be punctual, reliable and efficient to run an effective class.
• Follow curriculum, set student's goals, motivate and guide students to provide an enjoyable learning experience.
• Monitor student progress, advise students and provide feedback and support to students as required to meet student outcomes and course objectives.
• Work effectively with students, teachers and parents to achieve course goals.
• Provide feedback from classroom experience into curriculum development, instructional methods, objectives and philosophy.
• Maintain an organized and clean classroom environment.
• Work independently and be a self-starter.
• Communicate via email and phone with us as needed.

Job Requirements

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in Animation, Media Arts or related field; other majors with animation background are welcome to apply
• Current associate or college students are encouraged to apply
• Ability to teach courses like 2D animation and stop motion animation
• Knowledge in animation tools like Wick Editor and Stop Motion Studio
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience of the K-12 age group is preferred.
• Very comfortable with technology and using computers
• Must be able to work in a classroom environment
• Available to work between 1 to 3 hours per week, depending on need and program schedule

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 3 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
