JOB PURPOSE:
The avionics apprentice supports the team in the maintenance, installation, and repair of aircraft avionics systems, as well as in avionics shop operations. All work is performed under the supervision of licensed technicians.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with the inspection, installation, and repair of electrical and electronic systems under supervision.
  • Support licensed technicians during aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Work in the avionics shop and assist with the recertification of aeronautical components, such as:
  • Batteries
  • CVR (Cockpit Voice Recorder)
  • FDR (Flight Data Recorder)
  • ELT (Emergency Locator Transmitter)
  • Emergency power supplies
  • Prepare equipment, perform basic tasks, and follow technical instructions.
  • Collaborate with other trades and management personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Student enrolled in an avionics or aerospace electronics program.
  • Strong interest in aviation and electrical/electronic systems.
  • Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a team.
