Job Title: Apprentice Electrician (Solar PV & Commercial Electrical)

Location: Athlone (with nationwide travel across Ireland)
Employment Type: Full-Time Apprenticeship

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team, working on solar PV installations and commercial electrical projects across Ireland. This is a hands-on role with comprehensive training, offering the opportunity to develop skills in the fast-growing renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with solar PV system installations, including fitting solar panels, wiring inverters, and completing fuseboard upgrades
• Support commercial electrical work, including cable tray and conduit installation
• Participate in testing and commissioning of PV systems
• Learn to perform electrical compliance checks and safety inspections
• Work alongside experienced electricians to develop client communication skills

Requirements:

• Enrolled or eligible for an Electrical Apprenticeship (SOLAS or equivalent)
• Full clean driving license (travel to job sites nationwide required)
• Strong work ethic – reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn
• No prior solar experience required – full training provided
