As an Armed Special Police Officer (SPO), you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of people and property. The Role:
We’re hiring Armed Special Police Officers for full-time and part-time positions. This role requires weekend and overnight availability, as well as the ability to respond quickly to critical situations. You’ll be responsible for protecting life and property, enforcing client procedures, and maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Protect and Serve: Safeguard life and property by patrolling assigned areas, monitoring for security breaches, and responding to emergencies.

Enforce Regulations: Ensure compliance with client procedures, regulations, and standards.

Incident Reporting: Document and report activities, incidents, and irregularities in detailed written reports.

Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Emergency Response: Respond quickly and effectively to critical situations, including medical emergencies, fires, and security threats.

Requirements:

Active DC SPO Commission: You must already hold an active DC Special Police Officer commission.

Age: At least 21 years of age or older as required by law.

Certifications: Handcuffing, Baton, and .38 caliber certifications are required.

Availability: Must have weekend and overnight availability.

Physical Fitness: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods, climb stairs, and navigate uneven terrain. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Background Check: Must pass a drug screen and background check.
