Art Gallery Sales Associate / Associate Assistant

Fine art gallery in Pioneer Square neighborhood seeking associate assistant to sales associate. Introduction position for local, small business with responsibilities to include: open and closing of retail location, customer service for public inquiries and potential sales, art inventory handling, inventory software and point of sale equipment operation, and art exhibition installation/de-installation assistance.

Part-time position for Friday through Saturday, with the monthly First Thursday Art Walk event. Typical hours include 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with First Thursday to include 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

Compensation: Hourly starting at $21.30/hour + sales commission.

- Ideal candidates have excellent customer service skills and relevant experience in a retail setting and/or arts background.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a team setting with a high degree of daily communication.

- Flexibility to work first Thursday evening art walk event, and occasional special events as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

- HS Diploma, Associate’s Degree preferred.

- Must be able to stand on feet for long periods, have good stamina.

- Ability to lift 25 lbs.

- Business casual attire.
