Position Overview:
As a Convenience Store Supervisor, you will lead by example, balancing hands-on operational tasks with administrative and leadership responsibilities. You will ensure the smooth daily running of the store while maintaining high standards for both customer service and back-end efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading from the Front: Perform high-level retail and deli duties, including handling cash transactions, preparing fresh deli items and bubble tea, and ensuring the shop floor is well-presented
Merchandising & Stocking: Oversee shelf-restocking and inventory placement, including heavy lifting and organizing storage areas, Monitor inventory levels and proactively order stock from suppliers to ensure consistent availability of retail and deli ingredients
Quality Control: Maintain strict standards for food hygiene, routine cleaning, and the overall aesthetic of the deli and shop area
End-of-Day Operations: Manage daily close-out procedures, including till reconciliation, securing the premises, and preparing daily sales reports
Wholesale & Key Accounts: Serve as the primary point of contact for main wholesale customers, ensuring their orders are accurate and maintaining a professional, long-term partnership
Customer Excellence: Resolve complex customer inquiries or complaints, ensuring every visitor receives a high standard of service
Team Coordination: Assist in organizing staff tasks and ensuring all team members are productive and following safety protocols during their shifts
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Proven experience in a retail or deli environment, preferably in a senior or supervisory capacity.
- Versatility: Comfortable switching between manual labor (restocking/lifting) and administrative tasks (ordering/reporting).
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to manage both walk-in customers and high-value wholesale clients.
- Reliability: A trustworthy individual capable of managing "end of day" financial and security responsibilities
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From €14.10 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Work Location: In person
