Assistant 3-Year-Old Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to support the education and development of 3-year-old children in our early childhood education program. This role involves working closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment that promotes growth and learning for young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, experience in early childhood settings, and a strong understanding of childhood development principles.

Duties

• Assist in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to 3-year-olds
• Support classroom management and behavior guidance strategies to foster positive social interactions
• Help supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in accordance with health and safety standards
• Provide basic caregiving tasks such as potty, feeding, and comforting children as needed
• Communicating with families using Brightwheel
• Helping in other classrooms when needed
• Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, first aid, and special education techniques

Experience

• Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development stages and age-appropriate activities for toddlers
• Experience with classroom management, behavior management, and caregiving routines
• Certification in first aid or CPR is desirable but not required; willingness to obtain certification is expected
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and team members in a childcare environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $18.50 per hour
