Purpose of role:
This role is responsible to execute full-cycle accounting functions for two entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, intercompany reconciliation, treasury operations, tax compliance, and corporate governance. The role is essential for maintaining financial integrity and supporting senior management in making informed business decisions.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the full accounting cycle for two entities (JDE and Oracle), including OTC, PTP, RTR, and month-end close.
- Perform FX analysis and ensure that intercompany balances reconcile accurately, suggesting remedies where needed.
- Load budgets into the system and work with function heads to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in preparing audit documentation and liaise with auditors for queries.
- Address tax authority queries and support tax self-assessments and related filings.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and assist in treasury operations.
- Oversee corporate secretarial matters and support compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Handle day-to-day banking operations and reconcile cash transactions.
- Ensure all work is reviewed and approved by the Senior Financial Manager in a timely manner
Who are you?
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g., Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business Administration).
- Certification such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
- Proficiency in ERP and reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE, Planning Analytics)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Understanding of tax regulations (GST, income tax)
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Meticulous, systematic and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Proactive in identifying areas for improvement in systems and controls
