We are looking for an Assistant Credit Manager to join our Global Credit Team. In this role, you'll manage credit and collections for Regular accounts and support the Credit Manager in leading a blended onshore–offshore team through process alignment and change. You'll also work with senior teams to integrate legacy finance operations and ensure compliance with audit, legal, GDPR, and credit insurance requirements, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

What will you do as an Assistant Credit Manager?
As an Assistant Credit Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's financial success by managing credit and collections performance against key metrics. It ensures responsible customer sales and maximises cash flow.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding, mentoring, and developing a team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Managing credit risk through proactive account review, dispute resolution, and enforcement of credit terms.
- Collaborating with Sales and Operations to deliver personalised service and client account planning.
- Monitoring aged debt, collections performance, and KPIs, while ensuring accurate, timely reporting.
- Supporting finance transformation by identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Making credit decisions on accounts up to £50k and escalating higher-value or delinquent cases appropriately.
What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?
The following will help you be an ideal candidate for this post:
- A degree or AAT/CICM or similar qualification (or currently studying towards one).
- Proven experience in global credit management, working with complex and high-volume accounts
- Excellent communicator and relationship-builder across all levels and cultures.
- Strong skills in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF formulas); SAP experience is a plus.
- A data-driven, analytical mindset with sound judgement and problem-solving ability.
- The ability to prioritise effectively, adapt to change, and remain calm and professional under pressure.
