Assistant Hr Manager

This position is for deployment in Boracay Island, and the company will provide relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Job Summary

The HR Assistant Manager supports the HR Head in overseeing all human resources functions, with a strong focus on pre-opening activities such as manpower planning, mass hiring, policy setup, and organizational readiness. This role ensures smooth HR operations aligned with hotel standards and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Opening HR Setup

  • Assist in developing and implementing HR systems, policies, and procedures for hotel operations
  • Support organizational structuring, manpower planning, and budget alignment
  • Coordinate pre-opening timelines for recruitment, onboarding, and training

2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for rank-and-file to supervisory roles
  • Conduct sourcing, screening, and initial interviews
  • Coordinate hiring activities such as job fairs, partnerships, and bulk hiring

3. Employee Relations

  • Handle employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary cases
  • Promote a positive work culture aligned with hospitality standards
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies

4. Training & Development

  • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating learning programs
  • Support onboarding and orientation of new hires
  • Ensure service excellence training is implemented before opening

5. HR Operations & Administration

  • Oversee employee records, documentation, and HRIS updates
  • Support payroll coordination, benefits administration, and timekeeping
  • Ensure government compliance (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, DOLE, etc.)

6. Engagement & Culture Building

  • Assist in implementing employee engagement initiatives
  • Support activities that build teamwork and service culture prior to opening

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field
  • At least 5–7 years HR experience, with 2–3 years in a supervisory role
  • Supervisory experience must be specifically in HR functions and personnel management
  • Hotel or hospitality industry experience required
  • Pre-opening experience is a strong advantage
  • Strong background in recruitment and employee relations
  • Knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced, setup environment

Pay: From Php40,000.00 per month
