Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and creating a positive learning environment. Applicant must have open availability. Part-time afternoon positions available with the afternoons being our biggest need currently.
Responsibilities:
-Educate and engage toddler to preschool-aged children in various subjects, including literacy education, and childhood development
-Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans to promote learning and development.
-Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
-Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
-Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate activities and events.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents or guardians as needed.
-Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the diverse needs of children, including those with autism or other special needs.
-Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
Preferences:
-Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not required.
-Experience working with toddler to school-aged children.
-Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices.
Requirements:
-High school diploma or GED equivalent
-Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, TB test, physical, and become CPR/First Aid certified if not already within the past year.
-Must maintain 20 professional clock hours per year.
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote creative learning.
-Patience, compassion, and the ability to connect with young children and handle challenging behaviors.
-Ability to physically lift children and get down on the floor to play.
-Assist children with life skills such as mealtimes, and bathroom/diapering routines.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to work collaboratively with administration, colleagues, and parents.
