We are currently seeking: Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex construction projects for clients of the Electronic Security Division.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists in the initial planning stage by supporting collaboration with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders; contributes to developing detailed descriptions of jobs and materials needed for the project under the guidance of the Project Manager.
- Supports the operations team to ensure assigned construction projects are completed on time, meet specifications, stay within budget, and are executed with accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
- Assists the Electronic Security (ES) management team by performing assigned tasks and providing administrative support as directed.
- Assists with contract management by supporting tasks related to contract negotiations, revisions, and additions, ensuring adherence by all parties under the supervision of the Project Manager.
- Supports actions related to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites, following the direction of the Project Manager or senior management.
- Contributes to building and maintaining good working relationships with owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft workers to support project success.
- Assists in planning, coordinating, and organizing activities related to the construction and maintenance of assigned structures and systems under the supervision of the Project Manager.
- Supports cost analysis by helping estimate expected costs for the project.
- Assists in preparing and implementing a budget based on estimates and supports the preparation of estimates and proposals for small projects and change orders as directed.
- Participates in risk assessments, helping to identify risks, report them to the division manager, and support the development of risk mitigation recommendations.
- Addresses basic project-related questions, concerns, or complaints, escalating complex issues to the Project Manager or senior management as needed.
- Acts as a supporting liaison between the company, customers, and vendors, facilitating communication as directed.
- Communicates with Tusco’s customers with a “customer first” service attitude, responding promptly to customer inquiries and escalating issues to the Project Manager when necessary.
- Supports compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices by following established protocols and reporting any issues to the Project Manager.
- Managing project databases and tracking systems with Box Sales
- oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
- Maintaining accurate inventory levels, tracking stock, and implementing strategies for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Identifying areas for improvement in warehouse operations, implementing new technologies, and optimizing workflows
- Collaborating with logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment may involve physical activity and long hours.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to escalate complex issues as needed.

- Ability to support one to three projects at a time under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Ability to prioritize assigned tasks with guidance from the Project Manager.
- Ability to quickly learn about electronic security systems and products.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling, or related project management software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Building Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction project coordination, electronic security projects, or a related field.
- Entry-level project management or industry certifications (e.g., CAPM, OSHA 10/30, or equivalent) are desirable but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Flexibility to visit job sites in external environment without assistance
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
