M.J. Bale is looking for a driven and commercially minded Assistant Store Business Manager to support the leadership of our Doncaster store. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail leader who thrives on performance, team development and delivering an exceptional customer experience within a premium environment.

Doncaster is a key location within our network, and we’re seeking someone who can lead from the front, drive results and help build a high-performing, values-led team.

The Opportunity

As Assistant Store Business Manager, you will work closely with the Store Business Manager to drive commercial outcomes, elevate team capability and ensure operational excellence.

Commercial Performance

Support in driving sales targets, KPIs and store profitability

Monitor daily and weekly performance metrics

Increase average transaction value (ATV), units per transaction (UPT) and database growth

Identify opportunities to grow client relationships and repeat business

Leadership & Team Development

Lead from the floor, demonstrating premium selling techniques

Coach and develop team members to exceed individual and store targets

Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training

Foster a positive, accountable and high-performance culture

Customer Experience Excellence

Deliver a personalised, premium customer journey

Build strong relationships with VIP and repeat clients

Drive appointment-based styling and custom opportunities

Ensure service standards consistently reflect the M.J. Bale brand

Operational & Visual Standards

Maintain exceptional store presentation aligned with brand standards

Support stock management and inventory control

Assist in roster management and operational planning

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Skills and Experiences:
About You

Previous experience in a retail leadership role (Assistant Manager or similar)

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving KPIs

Strong commercial awareness and business acumen

Passion for menswear, styling and premium customer service

Confident communicator with strong coaching ability

Energetic, proactive and solutions-focused

Highly organised with strong attention to detail
