Whirlpool is looking for a System Integrator Associate Engineer for our SES (Software and Electronics Systems), located in Rio Claro, SP plant, Cooking category on a full-time on site work scheme.
A System Integrator in SES is a role that integrates electrical and electronic components and systems, specifically tailored for home appliances. This position focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing the electrical and electronic systems that power and control various appliances like freestanding ranges, wall ovens, cooktops and more.
You will closely collaborate with a team of engineers, designers, and technicians to understand the functional requirements of home appliances, ensuring that project activities are completed on time, meeting project requirements, including cost, quality and performance targets, and also proposing quality improvements and cost reduction actions.
Your responsibilities will include
Support system integration:
Assist in integrating electrical and electronic components into home appliances from cooking category, such as freestanding ranges, wall ovens, cooktops and microwaves. This includes connecting and configuring various subsystems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
Component selection and testing:
Assist in selecting appropriate electrical and electronic components based on design requirements and specifications. Conduct tests and evaluations to ensure compatibility, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
Wiring and circuit design:
Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement wiring diagrams and circuit layouts for home appliances. Ensure proper connections, grounding, and adherence to electrical codes and safety guidelines.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving:
Assist in identifying and resolving electrical and electronic issues that arise during integration or testing phases. Work with senior engineers to troubleshoot problems, conduct root cause analysis, and propose solutions.
Documentation and reporting:
Assist in documenting system integration processes, specifications, and test results. Prepare technical reports and contribute to the development of user manuals or assembly instructions.
Quality assurance:
Assist in implementing quality control measures to ensure that integrated systems meet design specifications and performance standards. Participate in product testing, inspection, and validation activities.
Collaboration and communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, manufacturing personnel, and quality assurance specialists. Communicate effectively to gather requirements, share progress, and address integration challenges.
Research and innovation:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical and electronic technologies relevant to home appliances. Contribute to research projects or propose innovative ideas for improving system integration processes or enhancing product performance.
Compliance with regulations:
Ensure that the integrated systems comply with relevant industry standards, electrical safety regulations, and energy efficiency guidelines.
Minimum requirements
Education: Bachelor degree in engineering: Electrical/Electronics or Mechatronics.
Language skills: Advanced English.
Certifications: Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
