Your role at a glance
The Associate Information System Engineer is an entry level subject matter expert, responsible for delivering enterprise-level IT support and maintenance of various IT services into the organization by following guidelines and instructions.The core responsibilities of this role are to learn the skills related to support installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of company infrastructure and systems.
This role is supported by senior team members to implement fixes for identified issues considered as less complex in nature.
The Associate Information System Engineer generally works under the supervision of more experienced members of the team.
What we are looking for
Key Responsibilities: Desktop and End-User Computing (EUC) Support Provide comprehensive in-house desktop support for all employees, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up new workstations, and ensuring all systems are running efficiently. Provide support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. Manage and deploy Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive). Administer endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM). Set up and maintain collaboration tools, meeting room technology, and audio-visual equipment. Assist users with technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Perform regular maintenance and updates on desktop systems, including installing patches, updates, and antivirus software. Conduct training sessions for employees on new software and hardware. Respond to and resolve IT incidents and service requests in a timely manner. Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT equipment and software licenses. Troubleshoot issues related to user access, profiles, printing, and device performance. Enforce IT policies for asset management, software licensing, and acceptable use. System Administrative Works and Data Steward Tasks Responsible for daily operations, including change management practices in line with technical lead approval, impact analysis, communication, and documentation of changes. Ensure compliance with Group IT Security policies and procedures across the organization. Provide support to IT/System users in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. Manage systems such as Office 365 (including Teams/SharePoint) and ServiceNow. ServiceNow Implementation Support technical tasks during the ServiceNow implementation phase in cooperation with the Technical Lead, external ServiceNow professional support vendors, and internal users from various teams across APAC. Prepare and create data from existing ITSM systems or off-system files for the ServiceNow platform. Test ServiceNow out-of-box functions like CMDB, Incident, and Request. Integrate ServiceNow with external systems, including CMDB data import/export, case (ticket) e-bonding scripted REST API, Integration Hub, and MID Server. Support Business Analysis and Project Management Assist with business analysis and project management tasks led by the IT Director and Technical Lead Engineer across the entire company IT domain. Support the roadmap lifecycle of all systems in scope to drive decision-making in compliance with NTT Limited Group, GDC Global/APAC directions. Conduct standardization efforts across GDC APAC to support internal teams. Infrastructure Management Plan, coordinate, and oversee data center end-to-end deployments and expansions. Optimize capacity planning and resource utilization. Ensure compliance with security, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures for business continuity and disaster recovery. Create and maintain detailed documentation for all desktop support and infrastructure management processes and procedures. Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM), and systems such as Salesforce, ERP (SAP), Azure, Office 365, and ServiceNow. Customer Service and Support: Excellent skills in providing end-user computing support, technical assistance, and conducting user training sessions. Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist users and collaborate effectively with other IT team members. Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work well under pressure, and adapt to changing circumstances. Organizational Skills and Policy Enforcement: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to enforce IT policies for asset management, software licensing, and acceptable use. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: Diploma in Information Computer Science or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar are a plus. Required experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role. Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common desktop applications. Knowledge of networking principles and basic troubleshooting techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
