Ace Acumen Heights is a Languages Canada accredited designated learning institution (DLI). Reporting to the Manager, Enrollment & Domestic Recruitment Strategy, the Athletic Event Support Staff would be responsible for providing operational support at athletic events, ensuring a positive experience for attendees and representing the school in a professional and welcoming manner.
It is mandatory for the Athletic Event Support Staff to possess flexibility in their work schedule, as necessary, to ensure success in this position and for the school. The candidate must be willing and able to work and travel to all events scheduled, particularly in the Brampton-Peel Region.
Job duties would include but are not limited to:
- Assist with the set-up and tear-down of event spaces, including equipment and display materials
- Capable of safely lifting and moving items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Warm, approachable, and professional demeanor when interacting with families and children
- Energetic and outgoing personality, with the ability to proactively engage attendees at events
- Comfortable leading and facilitating spontaneous audience participation activities
- Confident in promoting the school’s brand and offerings to event attendees
- Skilled in capturing high-quality, appropriate photographs for social media and marketing use
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in event support; athletics and customer service is an asset
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment (up to ~50 lbs) and being on your feet for extended periods
- Excellent customer service, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment externally and/or internally
- Basic promotional and public speaking skills to share school-related information with event attendees
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic photography is an asset
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C AED is an asset
