Audio Visual Technician / Electrician

Hamilton Robson operates work sites in multiple locations including Dublin, Belfast, Omagh, EMEA, USA, and APAC. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality Audio Visual (AV) systems for meeting rooms, conferencing, and 'special spaces.'

Role Purpose: Electrician We are seeking experienced Audio Visual Technicians / Electricians to join our team of energetic, committed, and diligent AV installation technicians. While AV experience is preferred, we provide necessary training for those without prior experience.

Role Location: This role is based in Central Dublin, with travel required to potential work sites in the Dublin area.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance:
  • Conduct electrical installations, including cabling and infrastructure for AV systems.
  • Install and integrate devices for Audio and Video Conferencing systems.
  • Ensure that AV work meets and exceeds all codes and standards.
  • Conduct inspections of AV systems under construction.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the electrical/AV technicians team.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical system failures and equipment faults.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Check the quality and completeness of all work.
  • Maintain safety standards and electrical equipment.
  • Technical Tasks:
  • Responsible for the rack and stack of various equipment racks.
  • Dress, terminate, label, and test cabling.
  • Interpret construction drawings, cable pull schedules, and AV System Schematics.
  • Measure out and mount equipment as per drawings and specifications.
  • Use AV System Drawings to install and connect devices.
  • Commissioning and Testing:
  • Assist with the commissioning and testing of newly installed systems.
  • Verify and test cabling, check power/signal flow, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Handle situation reports, maintain site inventory, assist with deliveries and clean-up.
  • Perform asset tagging and other adhoc warehousing duties.

Impact & Contribution:

  • Ensure the physical installation is clean, smooth, and error-free.
  • Ensure complex systems are powered, and signals are routed appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
  • Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical or AV projects.
  • Skills and Experience:
  • Hands-on exposure to electrical installations and AV systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to travel and be on-call as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
  • Valid Driving License.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and a good team player.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.

Desired but Not Essential:

  • Experience with Large Format LED installations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €29,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
