Automotive Service Advisor

Job Summary
Ray and Sons Automotive is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive repair services. Your expertise in customer service and mechanical knowledge will help facilitate effective communication between customers and our service technicians, ensuring that all service needs are met efficiently and satisfactorily.

Duties

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Assess customer needs by listening carefully to their concerns regarding vehicle performance and maintenance.
• Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs, utilizing your mechanical knowledge to enhance customer understanding.
• Upsell additional services or products based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
• Prepare accurate service estimates and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and manage customer accounts effectively.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further questions or concerns.

Requirements

• Proven experience in customer service, preferably in an automotive dealership or repair environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong emphasis on interpersonal interactions.
• Experience in sales or cash handling is highly desirable.
• A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to automotive service are a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
