Barback

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced bar environment. As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in supporting bartenders and ensuring that the bar runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area, restocking supplies, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the guest experience. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their career in the hospitality industry, particularly in nightlife settings such as bars, nightclubs, and catering events.

This is a tipped position as well.

Duties

• Assist bartenders by preparing and restocking ingredients, garnishes, and glassware.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
• Handle cash register operations and assist with cash handling as needed.
• Buss tables and ensure that all areas are tidy and organized for guests.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing their needs promptly.
• Support during busy shifts by ensuring that bartenders have everything they need to serve customers efficiently.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages to management.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash handling processes and cash registers is advantageous.
• Experience in kitchen operations or catering environments is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• A passion for working in nightlife environments such as bars or nightclubs is highly desirable.
