Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers while providing outstanding service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and food safety practices is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
• A genuine passion for coffee and the desire to help create memorable experiences for customers
• Barista experience preferred (not required)
• Driver's License

Duties

• As a Barista, you will be crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items.
• Your expertise in coffee and food preparation, along with your exceptional customer service skills, will ensure that each guest has a delightful experience at our café
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee, food items, and supplies
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Engage with customers to provide recommendations and promote new products or specials.

Private Events:

- Baristas may have the opportunity to work at private events, potentially earning extra pay based on the nature of the event.
- Fulfill all opening, daily, and closing procedures for events and adhere to any additional requests from the owner, manager, or event contractors.

Work Attire:

-Present yourself professionally as first impressions are crucial.
-No ripped jeans, crop tops, or graphic tees with political views or profanity.
- Wear closed-toe shoes; no sandals or slides unless they cover the toes.

• Pay: $15-15.50 per hour
