Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately
• Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions, and providing excellent service to enhance their experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling duties with accuracy using proper cashiering procedures
• Follow food safety guidelines and food handling protocols to ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals as needed during busy periods

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within cafés or retail environments
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage customization options
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for smooth transaction processing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
• Effective time management to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation practices
