Barista – Cafe Team

Type: Full-time, 30-40 hrs/week incl. weekends

We’re a busy neighborhood cafe focused on great coffee, quick service, and making regulars feel at home. No pretentious vibes, just good coffee done right.

The Role

You’ll be on bar making coffee, serving customers, and keeping the front of house looking sharp during rush. Speed and consistency matter here.

Key Responsibilities

Coffee: Pull consistent shots, texture milk, make all menu drinks to spec

Service: Take orders, handle EFTPOS, manage the till with accuracy

Customer Experience: Greet customers, remember regulars, handle complaints calmly

Prep + Clean: Stock milk, syrups, pastries. Clean grinder, machine, bench every shift

Teamwork: Help FOH and kitchen during busy periods

What We’re Looking For

Experience:6+ months on a commercial espresso machine preferred. Will train the right person

Skills: Fast, accurate, can multitask when it gets busy

Attributes: Friendly, reliable, shows up on time, good attitude

Legal: NZ work rights or valid visa if in NZ
