Barista-Bartender (Hybrid Role)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Barista-Bartender (Hybrid Role) to join our vibrant café environment. This role combines the art of crafting high-quality coffee beverages with the skill of serving and bartending, providing an engaging experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will excel in both food and beverage preparation, delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently managing multiple responsibilities in a normal-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, beverages, and Wine with precision and flair.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, payments, and sales transactions.
• Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely service during busy hours.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all food handling and preparation areas.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Restock supplies, ingredients, and beverages to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.
• Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere, addressing inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times.
• Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting overall café operations.
• Manage time effectively to balance barista duties with bartending responsibilities during shifts.

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista with coffee-making skills and knowledge of café operations.
• Bartending experience with the ability to craft cocktails confidently.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
