Barista / Sales Assistant

We are looking for team members to join and grow with our business. You will welcome customers, guide them through our choice of pastries and drinks or retail items, answer questions and make sure our guests have a pleasant experience in our Pastry shop and café.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Service & Sales

• Provide attentive, elevated guest service and anticipate guest needs
• Engage with customers to recommend products suited to their preferences
• Present and explain pastries, beverages, and retail items with confidence and product knowledge
• Maintain a calm, welcoming, and professional demeanor during high-volume service
• Take in-store and phone orders accurately
• Accept and process transactions, operate the POS, and resolve return issues

Beverage & Product Execution

• Prepare beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Present all products in accordance with Un Je Ne Sais Quoi visual and quality standards
• Handle, store, and rotate food in compliance with food safety regulations
• Stay knowledgeable about the full range of pastries, drinks, and retail items

Retail & Operations

• Restock and refill the retail section to ensure shelves remain organized and fully stocked
• Maintain accurate retail inventory levels
• Keep equipment clean and properly maintained
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times
• Communicate with management regarding product levels, quality concerns, equipment issues, or operational needs

Team & Workplace Expectations

• Contribute positively to team culture and support colleagues during service
• Perform additional duties as needed to support daily operations
• Maintain the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment
• Demonstrate friendly, confident, and professional communication skills
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling as business needs require
