Barista/All Rounder

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista/Baker with some experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee , baking, and customer service, ensuring that each guest enjoys a delightful experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the work area, and providing exceptional service to our customers. You may also be required to prepare ingriedients for bakers and bake simple pre prepared pastry for customers

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and food items with precision and care.
• Operate the cash register, handle cash transactions, and process payments efficiently using the POS system.
• Assist customers by providing recommendations and answering any questions regarding menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Be able to lift 50lbs

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry or as a Barista is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cashiering, cash handling, and basic math skills is essential for processing transactions accurately.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to providing excellent customer service and helping others enjoy their experience at our establishment.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling practices is a must.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.55-$24.51 per hour

• Do you have the ability to make espresso and tea based drinks at a high level skill and accuracy? Also can you start work at 7am and work Saturdays?

Experience:

• Cafe / Baking/ Barista: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Food Handler Certification (required)
• Smart Serve (preferred)
