Barista/All Rounder

Metanoia Café is looking for a reliable, motivated All-Rounder to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident behind the espresso bar, comfortable with light kitchen support, and focused on delivering a warm guest experience. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Must have already mastered the basic espresso menu (cappuccino, latte, cortado, flat white, macchiato etc)

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and serving high-quality espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages
• Assisting with basic food prep and plating pastries/desserts
• Cash handling, POS operations, and customer service
• Restocking, organizing, and maintaining a clean work environment
• Supporting the team wherever needed to ensure smooth daily operations
• Opening or closing duties and ensure tasks and procedures are completed properly.
• Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and cleanliness protocols
• maintain general and detail inventory
• Attention to detail with overall cafe experience for our Patrons.
• Higher standards of customer services

We are looking for someone who:

• Has café or hospitality experience (min 2 years of Barista)
• Must know all of the basic menus items (flat white, , proper espresso extraction, latte, cappuccino, etc)
• Works well in a fast-paced environment and stays calm under pressure
• Is reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Task oriented and does not have to be told what to do
• Customer centred based.
• Can multitask and switch between roles as needed
• Takes pride in presentation, cleanliness, and consistency
• Flexibility to work during peak hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings , holidays or weekends needed .
