Barista/Bakery Clerk

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your exceptional customer service skills will ensure that every guest leaves with a smile, and your attention to detail will help maintain our standards of excellence. THIS IS A FULL TIME POSITION WITH FULL AVAILABILITY NEEDED STARTING IN SEPTEMBER. TRAINING WILL BE IN FINAL WEEK OF AUGUST. Part Time availability will not be considered at this time.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining spaces.
• Follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality of products served.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service or food preparation is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining health standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
• A passion for coffee and food preparation is a plus!
