Barista/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions accurately.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling practices.
• Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, dining area, and equipment to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and offering recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, reporting shortages as needed.

Experience

• Previous Experience in Barista position required
• Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cashiering and cash handling practices is beneficial.
• Basic math skills are essential for processing transactions accurately.
• Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A willingness to learn about coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes is important for success in this role.
