Job Description

Misty Pines is a small café and bakery located in Wesley Square in the Old City Quarter of Nanaimo. We are looking for someone with a good attitude, work ethic and the drive for perfection! Our hours of operation are 8am-4pm 7 days a week. The barista position will have hours between 7:30am-3:30pm. Must be able to work on the weekends.

Duties

• General customer service, clearing dishes and sanitizing tables, using a POS
• Making different varieties of coffee
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment such as the coffee machine and grinder
• Providing great customer experiences through superior service
• Creating strong knowledge of the food and drinks we offer
• Ensuring quality control of food
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, including equipment, personal tools and utensils; understand and abide by Health & Safety standards and Food Safe requirements
• Regular cleaning of the bar area and front area
• Other duties as required
• Packaging food and drinks to go
• Making sandwiches and salads
