Barista/Deli Assistant

Blas Cafe in University of Limerick. We are now recruiting for a Barista & experienced Deli Assistant. Monday to Friday 10am-2pm or 11am-3pm

• To consistently provide excellent coffee.
• To ensure our customer service standards are delivered at all times.
• To adopt a good work ethic and team work and be readily available to assist in all areas as required dependent on the needs of the business.
• To ensure that all meals are served efficiently and in a friendly manner.
• To be fully aware of the 14 Allergenic Ingredients, communicate with the kitchen if unsure about dishes on the menu.
• To deal with any customer complaints in a professional manner and to notify management immediately.
• To carry out cleaning duties on a daily basis for example but not limited to toilets, work areas, restaurant entrances, windows, tables condiments, back of house, furniture etc.
• To ensure that all reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and other persons on the premises.
• Cash handling & reconciliation where appropriate training has been given.
• To carry out opening and closing procedures of restaurant/bar/cafe where appropriate training has been given.
• To report and where appropriate take action on any incidents or accidents.
• To attend all training courses as notified to you by management.
• To be familiar with and adhere to all policies outlined in the company handbook and sign same.
• To provide management with social media content when trained & requested to do so.
• To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
• To be punctual for work and report directly to the manager on duty on arrival at work.
• To clock in & out on the company biometric system.
• To be fully aware of the correct use of chemicals used to clean your area.
• To adhere to the principles & practices of HACCP.
• To have full knowledge of and be able to act upon fire procedures.
• To carry out any additional duties as may be notified to you by management

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term

Pay: €13.50 per hour
