Responsibilities

• Safely bathe, dry, and groom animals according to established standards and client preferences
• Assist with animal restraint during grooming procedures to ensure safety for pets and staff
• Handle animals with care, demonstrating patience and gentle techniques to reduce stress
• Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, kennels, and work areas to promote hygiene and safety
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and pet behavior

Skills

• Professional Experience in animal handling, dog training or pet grooming is highly desirable
• Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles enhances understanding of animal health needs
• Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage various temperaments confidently
• Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure safe grooming sessions
• Familiarity with pet care routines including feeding, cleaning, and basic health monitoring
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for kennel cleaning or equipment setup
• Excellent customer service skills to build trust and rapport with pet owners
• Animal handling expertise across different species such as dogs, cats, and equines is a plus
