Behavior Technician (Bt)/ Registered Behavior Technician (Rbt)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with behavioral health challenges, implementing treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is essential in providing support to clients in their daily activities, fostering their development, and enhancing their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized care plans and treatment strategies as directed by a licensed professional.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills.
• Document medical records and maintain accurate medical documentation of client progress and behavior changes.
• Educate clients and their families about behavioral therapy techniques and strategies to reinforce learning outside sessions.
• Collaborate with special education staff, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
• Monitor client behavior and provide supervisor feedback regarding progress toward goals and supervisory needs.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to patient care and behavioral health practices.
• Weekly PAID team building activities!

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or individuals with special needs is preferred.
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles is highly desirable.
• Willing to train technicians.
• Familiarity with medical documentation processes related to behavioral health care.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to educate clients on care plans and therapeutic techniques effectively.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
• Previous experience in behavioral therapy or special education settings is a plus.
