Bistro Server

Summary:

This part-time position is responsible for effectively assisting food and beverage services and execution of regular bistro hours and events by way of set-up, service, clean-up, clear communication and teamwork while maintaining the company?s standard for excellence. This position coordinates with the Bistro & Events Manager.

Essential functions:

• Communicate with guests about their order in a friendly and sincere manner
• Provide a friendly experience for every customer, upholding hospitality standards
• Interact with other service and cooking staff to ensure speedy and effective operations so guests receive their food as quickly and accurately as possible
• Prepare dishes in kitchen for certain shifts as needed
• Handle food carefully and responsibly, following safe food handling practices.
• Maintain a professional appearance and mannerism in accordance with dress code
• Set up buffets for events with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling
• Run food from the kitchen to bistro or event room
• Adhere to all applicable laws when serving alcohol
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures
• Maintain positive and professional attitude
• Clean kitchen and event space after event ends and assist with food storage and other closeout tasks
