The Opportunity

We are seeking a Boning Room Supervisor to lead our Boning Room team at Harvey Beef. This pivotal role involves ensuring the efficiency, safety, and quality of boning room operations while upholding our rigorous standards for meat processing and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee boning room operations to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor production lines to identify and rectify defects in real-time.
  • Ensure adherence to AUS-MEAT and Meat Standards Australia (MSA) protocols.
  • Manage team performance by supervising, mentoring, and training staff.
  • Conduct incident reporting and investigations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Boning Room Manager to ensure optimal staffing and workflow.
  • Implement corrective actions for non-conformances and oversee product segregation.

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Qualifications:
    • Certificate II in Meat Processing (or equivalent).
      AUS-MEAT Standards Officer certification.
      MSA qualifications.
      Beef Specifications Level 2 Pass.
  • Skills and Experience:
    • Leadership experience in meat processing, such as a Leading Hand role.
      Strong understanding of workplace safety requirements and food safety risks.
      Ability to identify product defects and maximise yield from primal and trim cuts.
      QA Experience is beneficial in identifying food safety risks.
