Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in QuickBooks. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organization.
Type of Position: Full Time and Fully on Site.
Office hours Mon-Fri from 9:00- 5:30 pm with a 45 min lunch break taken mid-day in coordination with the team.
Role Objective:
Keep all accounting and financial information correct and up to date in the system and any related paperwork well organized. Assist and work together with CFO to make sure all accounts payable and receivables are up to date and do a timely closing of the month.
Role Summary:
- Manage accounts and maintain detailed transactions
- Keep all accounting and finances up to date in QuickBooks and proper records
- Complete month end balance sheets
- Monthly review of overseas office accounts
- Manage and audit company credit cards
- Manage and process payables, keep all accounts payable up to date and help CFO with scheduling of payments. Make sure payables are accurate before paying them and keep track of advances to vendors.
- Prepare customer invoices, follow up on receivables until payment is received, work with Fulfillment Specialist to verify customer account status for order release. Keep track of prepayments.
- Work on all other tasks related to accounts payable and receivable as needed, including keeping everything up to date in QuickBooks
- Assist management and the team both in Miami and abroad with any requirements needed
- Assist CFO with any tasks needed related to accounting or to any other business related activity
- Generate accurate financial reports upon request of CEO, CFO, management or CPA
- Manage the office's Petty cash
- Month End prepare F/S and all reports to be sent to CPA with all supporting schedules
- Manage and calculate agent comissions each month.
Qualifications
- Manage accounts and maintain detailed transactions
- Completed Education: College degree in Accounting
- Areas of study/ concentration: Accounting, business administration
- Previous experience: At least 3 years of related experience in similar roles
- Hard skills: Advanced use of Microsoft Office Package, QuickBooks
- Soft skills: Excellent communication skills both written and oral, teamwork and collaboration, excellent attention to detail, interest in continuous process improvement and willingness to learn, be able to work without supervision, capable of managing multicompany processes
- Languages: Advanced English, advanced Spanish
- Desirable: Previous Audit Experience
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
