Our Client is an Equipment Services Company based in Dublin North City, specialising in Industrial Equipment Service & Spare Parts. They have a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced person to provide Accounts and Bookkeeping support to the Team.

This role would suit a well organised, Sage (or similar Accounts Package) Experienced and highly Computer Literate (MS Excel) individual who is comfortable performing the accounts and bookkeeping duties within an Engineering Services Business.

The role involves

  • Using SAGE or similar package to fulfil the main duties of the Bookkeeping function including –
  • Processing invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts – Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss,
  • Processing Bank entries and Bank reconciliations,
  • Handling accounts receivable / payable,
  • Debtor follow up and management
  • Dealing with customer/supplier queries
  • Solving issues on imports/exports
  • Handling credit applications
  • Handling VAT returns
  • Dealing with year end accounts
  • Providing feedback and analysis to Management through ad hoc reporting and data analysis.
  • Providing General Office support to the Team
  • Other tasks and activities as they arise.

The ideal candidate should have

  • Several years’ experience using Sage or similar accounts package.
  • Previous experience in a bookkeeping/accounting technician role.
  • Ideally be ATI qualified (desirable though not essential).
  • Strong Computer Applications skills e.g. have the ability to create reports and charts using MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and processes for reconciliation.
  • Familiar with the Irish Tax system.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work to and manage deadlines.
  • Experienced managing debtors.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership for the role.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: €22.50-€27.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

  • Finglas, CO. Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

  • Advanced/Higher Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

  • Using MS Office to a competent level of proficiency: 5 years (preferred)
  • Sage or similar Accounts package: 5 years (required)
  • Working with the Irish Tax System: 5 years (required)

Language:

  • Fluent written and Oral English (required)
