Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products based on their preferences and needs
• Provide detailed product demonstrations, explaining strain effects, consumption methods, and dosage guidelines
• Educate customers on legal requirements and safety protocols related to cannabis use
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell products by recommending complementary items and promoting new or featured products to enhance customer satisfaction
• Maintain a clean, organized retail space through merchandising, stocking shelves, and ensuring product displays are attractive and compliant with regulations
• Conduct inventory checks regularly to monitor stock levels and assist with restocking efforts
• Handle customer inquiries via phone with professionalism and clear communication skills

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions
• Supervising experience in a retail or customer service environment is highly desirable
• Ability to conduct engaging product demos confidently and clearly explain product details
• Excellent phone etiquette combined with strong communication skills for both in-person and remote interactions
• Skilled in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer trust
• Knowledge of merchandising standards, stocking procedures, and inventory management in a retail setting such as a grocery store or specialty shop
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to create positive shopping experiences
• Familiarity with cannabis products, industry regulations, and safety protocols is preferred but not required—training will be provided
