Job Objectives
The intern supports architects in design, drafting, and project coordination while gaining hands-on experience with planning processes, CAD tools, and site inspections.
This role is intended to help build foundational skills in architecture and provide exposure to real-world project workflows within the healthcare and residential sector.

The intern supports architects in design, drafting, and project coordination while gaining hands-on experience with planning processes, CAD tools, and site inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of architectural designs from concept through to detailed design, under the supervision of senior architects.
- Create and update technical drawings and CAD models, ensuring precision and consistency across project documentation.
- Collaborate with project teams, including engineers and consultants, to support smooth coordination and delivery of design intent.
- Participate in site visits with senior staff to observe construction progress, document findings, and learn about compliance and quality control practices.
- Help identify design challenges and contribute to brainstorming sessions for practical and innovative solutions.
- Maintain organized project files, drawings, and records to ensure all documentation is current and accessible.
- Stay updated on architectural best practices, materials, and sustainability principles to contribute fresh ideas during design discussions.
- Provide general support across design, documentation, and administrative tasks to help achieve project milestones and team goals.
Skills Requirement
Qualification:
- Currently completing a Degree in Architecture recognized by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) and eligibility for registration as an architect in Ireland.
- Full Clean Driver’s licence.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Irish Construction industry and regulation.
- Knowledge of Planning and its associated compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of the project execution through design and completion.
Skills:
- Ability to effectively and concisely communicate with team members, management, external contractors, and any other key business relationships.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills for accurate cost estimation and financial management.
- Capable of working within a fast-paced and flexible team.
